While class action lawsuits are a legitimate means for recovering investment losses at Wachovia for fraud or other violations of the securities laws, we do not file them.  Typically, class action lawsuits lead to very small recoveries and can take 3-10 years for the recovery.  Additionally, the individual class action lawsuit members tend to have very little control over the case.   For most investors with losses above $30,000, a FINRA arbitration claim is much more advantageous than a class action lawsuit.
